The Pierce softball team was swept by Ventura College in a double header yesterday.
While the Brahmas tried to stay close to the Pirates, they couldn’t hold on with a third run in the 5th inning, by Shianna Shape, to seal their fate.
“We played well. We didn’t have as many errors and we’re getting better.” Rosie Vanegas commented at the end of the first game.
By game number two, the Brahmas girls couldn’t hold on and were blown out by Ventura in a six-inning game 9-1.
“We don’t have a strong bench, its tough to play a doubleheader. Ventura has a deep team and we don’t. I figured we’d run out of gas in the second game” Pierce Head Coach Pat Grennan said.
The Brahmas losing season continues making their standings 0-12.
